Petlog, managed by the Kennel Club, will run its 12th National Microchipping Month in June and aims to educate pet owners about the benefits of microchipping and the importance of keeping contact details up to date.

Celia Walsom, Petlog Executive, said: "National Microchipping Month is a great chance for vets to engage with their clients about microchipping, especially as microchipping for dogs becomes compulsory in Wales in 2015 and England in 2016

With new legislation coming through for compulsory microchipping of all dogs, Petlog looks at public understanding of the microchip and how much dog owners know about the legislation.
