Harry Potter turns 20!  It's hard to believe that 20 years ago today, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone was released in England.  In those 20 years, the Harry Potter fandom has become one of the most dominant fandoms in the world.  Books, movies, video games, real quidditch games, conventions and theme park attractions all exist from the initial release of a single book.

Jachelle Overstreet returns to the podcast to help me celebrate as this fandom was the first link in our long friendship.

We talk and cover everything including the movies and what shoulda/woulda/coulda been in the movies vs what was in the books.  We talk about the characters.  We cover the new movie, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find them and the characters in that movie franchise.  We talk about what these movies have meant for the generation(s) that have grown up with them and ultimately where the fandom goes from here.
