Season 1 of Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions has launched, introducing several new features and updates. The season, titled 'Defence Against the Dark Arts,' includes a new 6v6 Pro Quidditch Mode, where two teams of six players compete in ranked matches to earn rewards such as new Hero skins for characters like Bellatrix LeStrange and Severus Snape. Other updates include smaller Quidditch rings, the re-enablement of Aim Assist in Campaign Mode for difficulties lower than Champion, and a 6v6 party system.
Players can also participate in holiday-themed events, including Holidays at Hogwarts and the Yule Ball. Three new brooms with unique skills and a new Snowy Burrow map are available during this season. The game also features the iconic PS1 Hagrid as a cosmetic.
The Nintendo Switch version and physical editions of the game were released on November 8, 2024, following the initial release on PC, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS4, and PS5 in September 2024.
Additionally, the 6v6 mode adjusts gameplay by having the Golden Snitch and Seeker on the pitch at all times, with no role swapping during matches. The Snitch race and player spawn rates have been adjusted accordingly.
