Sometimes you will hear the saying “labor shortage”; a phrase used when there are not enough workers in order to fulfill the demand for work.  In our Gospel text for today Jesus brings up this same concept but in relation to sharing the Gospel.  The harvest crop of both people and opportunities to share Christ are readily available yet the number of harvest labors are coming up short.  We as disciples of Jesus are called into the field on a daily basis.  Your field may resemble a field of cubicles, maybe it’s a crop of clients, maybe a pasture of children.  Wherever your ministry region, God is employing you.
