Over the last three chapters, James has been explaining what it looks like to be a “doer of the word.” As we saw last week, doing the word requires the wisdom that comes from being like Christ. Today, we see the consequences of embracing or rejecting that kind of wisdom. Join us this week as James illustrates the biblical principle that we always reap what we sow. If we live according to worldly wisdom, we will reap the horrible consequences that always come with sin. But if we sow according to the Spirit, we will reap a very different kind of heavenly harvest.
