Recent Twitter posts with the hashtag #NotMyChurch spark a minor controversy. Lack of leadership from the episcopacy spur Catholic laity into action by posting pictures of themselves bearing arms in front of their parishes in response to recent church vandalism and assaults. Clearly the sensus fidelium is that church properties need to be protected from the advances of the Marxist mobs. The response that prayer need be first and foremost is the valid response that came from several priests, however others contest that armed resistance is not in line with the teachings of Christ.
