Here are some ways to engage students using this story:
1.Let students imagine they are Hatchuram and describe what silly thing they would do to surprise the town. 2.Invite students to describe a surprise that made them laugh.
3.Ask students to draw a picture of the town before and after Hatchuram’s surprise and write one sentence about each.
