The media both exhibit and prey upon the hatred of success.  Why is it news when someone successful has some personal failing unrelated to his business?  It shouldn't be and so we shouldn't participate in the public shaming rituals which exist so that losers can take winners down a peg and so the news media can get clicks from said losers.
