Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

Moving Beyond the Past means forgetting
The past cannot be replaced
The past cannot be re-lived
The past can be recycled
Moving beyond the past takes a forward focus
We focus on our new citizenship
We focus on the return of Christ
We focus on the coming change
Moving beyond the past requires freedom
We are free from punishment
We are free from sin
We are free from death
I have learned that in order to get unhooked from the pain of my past, I have to continuously choose to change my perspective. I need to look at things through God’s eyes—through the resurrection power of Jesus.

Recommit to Jesus
A – Admit that you have sinned
B – Believe that Jesus died and rose
C – Commit to follow Him
Jesus died to be your savior and lives to be your Lord!
