The lo-fi track begins with a creepy liminal vibe but then builds into harmonies within a nostalgic dream state. While hauntology is typically encompassed by a sense of nostalgic melancholy, I found both the philosophy and music genre at a period of deep despair, after my wife’s passing. But rather than deepen my depression, both the genre and philosophy had strangely helped in bringing a sense of clarity and acceptance necessary to move forward.
