It’s quite possible that many of us have been spiritually abused without even knowing it. My experience with spiritual abuse was really explicit with multiple types of abuse sprinkled within it. Two and a half years after my abuse, I can speak frankly about how religion was used to control, coerce, and shame me. This episode is so much longer than I expected it to be, so I hope you will still listen with open ears and an open heart.
