Happy New Year!
Here we are at the beginning of a new year and new decade. Clean slate. Fresh start. Don’t you just love it?!
I have some BIG plans on the horizon for 2020, and I bet you do too, which is why I wanted to bring you a fun journaling exercise today to kick off the new year right. (I just love a good journal prompt!)
I’ve found that one of the best ways to set yourself up for a superb year in life + business is to take time to do some reflection, check in with your soul’s longings and ultimately make feeling ahhh-mazing non-negotiable.
I approach goal setting similarly to Danielle LaPorte, author of The Desire Map, and I let how I want to feel determine what goals I go after and how I go after them.
For example, instead of creating a course, writing a book or getting married because you think you “should”, figure out how you want to FEEL and then see if moving toward that thing will make you feel that way in the pursuit of it.
In case this idea is new to you, I’ll walk you through this process step by step so you can emerge on the other side with a clear sense of how to want 2020 to feel and exactly what you need to do, focus on and not do to feel that way :-)
Below is a mini-version of a goal setting exercise that we moved through inside Success Made Simple Academy last month. I hope it brings you as many ah-has as it did to the women inside the Academy!
Step #1 - Reflect Back
Step #2 - What’s Your Vision
Step #3 - Find Your Feelings
Step #4 - Get Your Goals
Put 45min on your calendar to move through this exercise within the next 48 hours. Or better yet, grab your journal and get going now!
I promise you it will be time well spent. You’ll come away knowing exactly what your feel-good goals are for the year, and you’ll feel so fulfilled and happy working towards them.
Here’s to a beautiful and abundant 2020!
With love,
Cailen
P.S. I’m hosting a special *free* Masterclass on January 7th at 2pm ET, and it’s specifically for entrepreneurs in their 1st year of business. Here’s what you can look forward to...
