In this case, the Claimant brought claims of sex discrimination, harassment and victimisation against her former employer which were all dismissed at a preliminary hearing. One question for the Employment Tribunal was whether the use of the phrase 'has balls', which was used in reference to the Claimant, amounted to an act of direct sex discrimination and sex-related harassment.
