Having no secrets allows me to live without shame. Sharing my secrets with others allows me to live a life today where I feel connected with other people, where I feel connected to all of the universe, and where I feel whole as a person. Finally, sharing my secrets allows me to avoid doing shameful things that require more secrets. I have stopped keeping secrets for a little over a year now, and it has relieved what once was a terrible burden. I stopped keeping secrets once I became involved with Alcoholic's Anonymous, and any support group works great for sharing things you might not want to share with the rest of the world. Today, I am willing to not have have any secrets.
