Hawaii Matters, Hana Hou: How to Clean Our Oceans; Another Way to Love through Grief

Listen Later

Hawaii Matters, Hana Hou is a listen back with past guests' and their stories. In this episode:

Kristen Kelly of DLNR DARS (Hawaii Department of Land and Natural Resources, Division of Aquatic Resources) talks ways to report ocean debris and how organizations statewide work together to remove what humans have unintentionally (most of the time!) left in the waters around our island home.

Gabby Gouveia of Let Grace In shares the ways she (and her husband Kaeo) grieved the death of their young son Grayson and how it's not necessarily an orderly checklist of feelings nor a timetable of feelings that occur in a tidy cycle. It can be sorrow, happiness, anger, laughter all at once and "Let Grace In" introduces families to a safe space to meet "this new normal" with others.
