Dick Gillis will be turning 95 years old in January of 2025. Needless to say, he's seen some things in his time. He's been a long time Hayward resident and was even on the basketball team when they were officially nicknamed the "Hurricanes." I had a wonderful time sitting down with him to talk about his childhood, Hayward history and everything in between. Enjoy!
