DAWSON TAPPED TO LEAD HARMAR MOBILITY
Steven E. Dawson has been named chief executive officer and member of the board of directors of Harmar Mobility, LLC, based in Sarasota, Florida. He comes to the company with experience that includes leadership roles across a variety of industries. Jeffrey A. Lipsitz, managing partner of Harmar controlling shareholder Cortec Group, said when Harmar previously worked with Dawson, the company was impressed with his “focus, energy and ability to lead and develop teams.”
H&B ELEVATORS BUYS ITS MINNEAPOLIS BUILDING
H&B Elevators has bought the 52,000-sq.-ft building it occupies in North Minneapolis for US$2 million, Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal reports. Jashan Eison and Fred Proferl bought H&B in 2013, moving the company to North Minneapolis to be closer to vendors and revitalize the neighborhood.
EUROPE’S SLIMMEST RESIDENTIAL TOWER ON TAP IN ROTTERDAM
Dutch firm Powerhouse Co., in partnership with RED Co., Being Development and Martens Construction, aims to start construction this year on the 150-m-tall, 47-story Baan Tower in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, Dezeen reports. Overlooking the Erasmus Bridge, it promises to be the slimmest residential tower in Europe. There will be 145 apartments within its 21,000 sq. ft., along with penthouses at the top. The design will feature a dark grey stone façade and a plinth in the base reflecting nearby post-war architecture.
