# HOW TO: Claim HBD interest

When we stake HBD on HIVE we earn 20% APR (more than enough has been written about that, but in case you didn't know... now you do... YES 20% APR is a big deal!).

That interest needs to be manually claimed every 30 days though (or it gets claimed automatically with your next HBD Savings account transaction).

The @peakd wallet browser section gives us a really simple way of claiming it by giving us a claim button in our wallet view... but what ISN'T 100% clear, is that we need to have at least 0.001 liquid HBD available in order to do so. If you don't have the available liquid HBD, then you get the following error:

Basically it says: If you don't have the 0.001 HBD, ask a friend to give it to you so that you can claim...

Simply withdraw 0.001 HBD from you savings, and the interest claim will be triggered as well.
