We all think of growing older with a certain amount of fear. We often enter life after the age of 50 unsure about what the second half of life will hold for us. Rosetta’s guest on this episode is Gwen Lavender, a Transition Coach, mentor, and speaker. She helps maturing women through transitions in life to accomplish things they’ve always wanted to do so that they can live their best lives, with no regrets! She delights in helping women entering the second half of life navigate the new waters of aging and move forward with confidence - and she does it so well because she understands them - because she is them. Learn about Gwen’s enthusiastic approach to the last half of life, on this episode. Women entering the second half of life have many struggles - and so much opportunity! It’s easy to feel discouraged as you age. The years bring difficulties or obstacles you’ve never experienced before - aches, bodily changes, lack of energy, and many others. But those things don’t need to be discouragements for you. You can learn to accept and integrate into this new phase of life - and the good news is that you can do so in ways that are purposeful and powerful. Rosetta’s guest, Gwen Lavender is a specialist at helping women who are transitioning into the later half of life do so with enthusiasm and optimism. Many of her clients are accomplishing things they never thought possible - and doing it in the later half of life. You can find out more about Gwen and how she helps her clients, on this episode. It’s even more important that you live intentionally as you pass the 50-year mark. The older we get the more we can feel that our best years are behind us. But Gwen Lavender strongly disagrees. She’s found herself doing more and better things after 50 than she did before, and she believes that every woman can experience the same thing - if they are willing to boldly step into their new season of life. That means facing fears, applying yourself, and investing the time, effort, and money to make it happen. You can do what you set your mind to do, but only YOU can do it. Find out more about how Gwen helps women just like you, on this episode of Happy Black Woman. You have an abundant life. But with that abundant life, there is work to be done. There are very few things in life that simply “come” to us. Everything worth having and worth doing requires that we invest ourselves into the accomplishment of it. But as you age, as you feel the reserves of energy and personal strength are not what they used to be, you might start to believe that you can’t take the kind of intentional action required to do what you really want to do. Today’s guest, Gwen Lavender is a living demonstration of how untrue that belief is. She’s accomplished so much after the age of 50 and is eager to help you do the same thing. Find out how you can get a complimentary discovery session with Gwen to create your own action plan for a more abundant life in the second half of life, by listening to this episode. Give yourself permission to pursue what you really want to do. When Rosetta asked Gwen Lavender what her #1 piece of advice is for women over 50, Gwen didn’t skip a beat in answering: “Give yourself permission to pursue what you really want to do.” There are lots of things that could convince you that it’s too late, that you can’t do what you really long to do, and all of them are false. But you won’t discover the truth of that statement unless you first give yourself the permission to get moving toward that dream. Find out how Gwen suggests you begin that journey, on this episode of Happy Black Woman. Outline of this great episode [2:05] Rosetta’s introduction to her guest, Gwen Lavender.
