HCP - Ep. 125 - Shepherding Toxic People

On this episode of the HCP, Larry and Drew talk about how to deal with toxic individuals. In ministry at some point, you’re going to run into one of more people who could be labeled “toxic”. These are people who you continually have issues with, but there’s a difference in those who can be difficult and may offer critique from time to time, and someone who is continually critical. Jesus has given us a wonderful model to follow in Matt. 18 and Paul gives several examples of how to love people who can seem more like enemies than friends (Rom. 12). One question we have to ask with a sincere and reflective heart is “am I the toxic person”? We also must always lead with love and today the guys discuss 1 Thes. 5 and how we need to be “patient with all”.
