NASA-funded university labs have created an information-carrying molecule that would use eight letters instead of four. They named this DNA "Hachimoji"; which in Japanese means "hachi" eight and "moji" letters. the researchers following their discovery came to the conclusion that it now made it possible to enlarge the field of molecular structures that support life in space, on another planet or even on an exopanet.
