The view of Jerusalem from the Mount of Olives is beautiful. The shortest path between those two points is a steep and crooked little street. It passes through a cemetery. It wanders by a garden of Olive trees. It goes across a little stream called “Kidron” and then up a hill to the Eastern Gate. Jesus walked through this general area on what we call Palm Sunday.
The Bible tells us that multitudes gathered to welcome Him to Jerusalem on the first day of Passover week. There was no multitude to hear me preach this message on Palm Sunday 2020. Those were interesting days but we could celebrate anyway because He came in triumph.
There was a Triumphant Celebration.
There was a Triumphant Coronation.
There was a Triumphant Invitation.
Rejoice and be glad because “our King came meek and lowly and seated on a donkey.” He is our Messiah!
