He Chose The Cross (Philippians 2:5-8) For every one of us here today, the cross can mean infinitely more. Paul said in 1 Corinthians 1:18 that the preaching of the cross is power of God to those that are saved. We can all see the power of God in the cross that Christ Jesus chose by following three instructions.

I. Realize the Measure of the Cross

A. His Preexistence (Vs. 6)

B. His Personal Entrance (Vs. 7-8)

II. Recall the Moment of the Cross (Vs. 8d)

A. A Pitiless Execution

B. A Powerless Exercise

III. Receive the Meaning of the Cross

A. Satisfies the Demands of God (Galatians 3:13)

B. Signifies to Devotion of God (John 3:16)

C. Secures the Deliverance of God (1 Corinthians 1:18)
