Kim Thomas reflects on the memories she had with her son Earl Shaleek Pinckney. Though this isn’t the life she thought she would ever have to live, she is now advocating for a stronger community and continues to seek justice for Shaleek’s murder. Having become an activist overnight, she feels this whole experience has awakened a sleeping giant inside of her.
