The women visit Jesus’s tomb expecting to anoint His body, but instead they find the stone rolled away and an angel announcing the resurrection. Fear and amazement overwhelm them. The empty tomb declares that Jesus has conquered death, fulfilling His promise and securing salvation for all who believe.
