We gather  during the Divine liturgy not merely as individuals, but as members of a holy assembly — one body in Christ, bound together by the Spirit and called into communion with God and one another. "He made us unto Himself an assembled people” — a people set apart, sanctified, and united in love, truth, and worship.

In the Divine Liturgy, we see this clearly —the Body of Christ — where Christ is the Head, and we are the living members, one altar, one Eucharist, and one faith.
