I was totally wrong - it's Hebrews!  Hebrews 4:12 "For the word of God is living and active.  Sharper than any double-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart." 

Romans 8:1 (read the whole chapter)

Isaiah 48:10 "Behold, I have refined you, but not as silver; I have tried you in the furnace of affliction."

Daniel 4  Could all the things that the people of God went through - captivity in Babylon have been for the sake of saving King Nebuchadnezzar's soul?  

Don't question what God is doing, just be obedient, and give God your ALL.
