He Will Instruct You
“Who, then, are those who fear the Lord? He will instruct them in the way they should choose.” — Psalm 25 verse 12.
Every choice we make points to a direction in life. Some decisions seem small, others can change everything. But there’s a question every young person should ask: who is guiding my decisions? Because when the heart fears the Lord, He doesn’t just show the way — He teaches us how to choose.
It’s not fear of punishment… it’s recognizing that without Him, we walk in the dark. The truth is, many want to hear the voice of God, but few are willing to obey. Jesus said: “Anyone who chooses to do the will of God will find out…” (John 7:17). That means obedience comes before direction. God doesn’t reveal His will to someone who has already decided their own path.
How many times have you known what was right, but chose what was easier? That always brings consequences. There is no neutral choice. Every decision draws you closer to God… or farther away. The psalmist said: “I have chosen the way of faithfulness” (Psalm 119:30). That means obedience doesn’t depend on feeling, but on decision. God never forces anyone — but when someone truly fears Him, choosing the right path becomes a privilege, not a burden.
Now think about your recent choices: your plans, your thoughts, your relationships… what path are they pointing to? Do you ask God for direction — or just for permission to follow your own plans? God doesn’t just want to rescue you from trouble. He wants to lead you into a life of purpose, transformation, and truth. But that path begins with a sincere “yes.”
Today, God invites you — not to walk with Him on your path, but to step onto His path with a willing heart. If that’s your desire, pray: “Lord, I choose Your way. Teach me to obey.” One decision made today could change your entire story. What choice will you make now?
