Molly was happily married. She and her daughters watched the man they knew and loved go through a confusing and painful transformation. His behavior changed, he stopped working, he suffered from chronic pain, he became secretive and forgetful.

No one knew why or what caused all these changes. Eventually, they learned he had alcohol induced dementia. This diagnosis didn't help make things better but it gave some clarity to the circumstance they were now faced with.
