Few things affect our daily life more than transportation. And the N.C. Department of Transportation spends billions in taxpayer dollars every year to ensure that the state’s transportation infrastructure meets the needs of individuals and businesses. Where does the money come from, and who decides how it is spent? Is the state planning for future growth in urban and suburban communities? Does anyone use Charlotte’s LYNX light rail system? Are toll roads a good idea? To touch on these and other critical questions in transportation policy, Terry Stoops chats with John Locke Foundation summer intern Evan Norfleet.
