In April and May, 2022, a group of brain injury survivors met at Headway, in Gloucester, to talk about how their lives have been changed. Sharing stories was therapeutic. The nature of the injuries included stroke, hemorrhage and accident. In many cases speech was affected and one of the common themes which emerged was the frustration at not being understood.
