​Lori Dobbins is a watercolor and mixed media artist turned children’s book author. She is the creator of the Ollie series, including How Ollie Finds His Courage (2023) and Ollie Meets Ernie the Emu (2025).

​Known for her interactive storytelling, Lori hides a small heart on every page of her books—a tradition that started as a "happy accident" in her studio. These hidden hearts turn reading into a treasure hunt, ensuring every child feels engaged and loved. Lori was a part of Theresa Dedmon's Kingdom Creative Movement, where she first conceived the idea for her Ollie series and began her process of becoming an author and illustrator.

​When she isn't in her studio, Lori visits schools and libraries to share her stories and paint with the children who inspire her.
