In this passage we find the misery of mankind and the mercy of Jesus. Jesus heals the lame man, he heals on the Sabbath, and he heals as the Son of God. (Pastor Bringe also notes that he mispronounced the name of the pool: it is Bethesda, not Bethseda.)
