Welcome back to Season 2!!
Many of us have been told since childhood that “drugs are bad.” But in the context of healing, can alternative modalities provide deep and meaningful experiences? This episode dives right into a juicy discussion of alternative healing methods, and yes- my own experiences with them.
This episode was going to be a solocast, but frankly, I was scared to do it alone. So for this deeply personal discussion, I had to bring back one of my very best friends, Sam Altieri. Sam is a powerhouse health and wellness coach who has built an incredibly successful six-figure business. Her and I actually experienced our first plant medicine journey with each other a few months ago, so we break down exactly what it was like to go through a transformative mushroom experience together.
Sam and I also talk about the Akashic records readings we had last year, and how we moved through the process of an initial skepticism to an experience of profound reckoning and a reaffirmation of our souls’ purposes. As a scientist, I’d love to say that this stuff is all bullshit. But after my experiences with alternative medicine, I can’t. After all, there’s a reason that actual research is looking into these subjects. Plant medicine can help you get your ego out of its own way so that you can really communicate with the deepest parts of yourself. While it’s not for everyone, an openness to different modalities can offer profound breakthroughs.
This week's guest was Sam Altieri! Sam is a psychology based health coach, with a passion for helping high achieving women to lose excess weights and heal their relationship with food without restriction or dieting. Her upcoming course, Tastes Like Freedom opens up soon, so sign up for the waitlist here! She also has an amazing wellness podcast called Balance with Sam, so be sure to check that out as well. Find Sam on Instagram at @saltylifts or on her website at balancewithsam.com.
