How to Grow in Being Yourself

 

1.    Spend time with God, he made you and he knows who you should be. He knows all about you.

2.    Take time to think about why you think the way you think, why you dress the way you dress, why you talk the way you talk, why you act the way you act

and why you like what you like. 

3.    Become aware of your areas of strength: What are you good at? What do people come to you for? What makes you feel alive?

4.    Be okay with the areas you have to work on. What areas do you struggle with and what are things that can make you be a more loving, kind and fun person

to be around.

5.    Process the pain in your personality; either a result of overcoming pain or are you masking it.

 6.    Be proud of your accomplishments.

 7.    Be present with whom you are. Ask yourself where am I and where am I going.

 8.    Deal with regrets, fears and anything that can hold you to your past; deal with it.

 9.    Study what healthy, normal friendships and relationships look like. This helps us find genuine people we can be ourselves around.

 10.  Be vulnerable, do not be afraid to allow people to see all of who you are and who you are becoming.
