Africa is struggling to meet its vaccination targets for reasons that aren't as simple as they might seem. The Africa Union has worked mainly through its Africa Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC) to acquire Covid-19 vaccines for the continent.

The World Health Organization calculates that Africa has administered only 2% of the global Covid-19 vaccine jabs. Our next guest saw that developing countries were struggling to curb the challenges and risks associated with counterfeit medications imported from China, India, and Pakistan. He started on a bold mission to construct a pharmaceutical plant in Ghana with the purpose of building the continent’s capacity to make its own vaccines.
