An interview with Ellen Charge about a street medicine model to better serve the homeless, using paramedics with an expanded scope of practice and oversight by engaged physician consultation. The program was implemented to give basic primary and urgent care in the field. The team is also able to advocate for connections for patients to required services. Experienced paramedics are an ideal choice due to the unique skill sets in uncontrolled environments and problem-solving.
