Whilst the world and country’s focus and resources have rightfully been redirected to the novel coronavirus, SARS-CoV-2, HIV has not gone away and is far from over. We must not lose sight of other present risks. The Transport Education Training Authority (TETA) is one of the 21 SETAs mandated to facilitate skills development and training in different economic sectors of South Africa – they will be resurfacing and refocusing awareness on the ever-present risk of HIV/AIDS amid the Covid-19 pandemic under the theme, “FOCUS: HIV still needs our attention”.
