Last week Thursday, the Government Employees Medical Scheme (GEMS), the biggest closed medical aid scheme with 754 000 members and 1.9 million dependents, brought together industry leaders to engage on the future of healthcare in South Africa at its 2021 Symposium.
Themed Healthcare 2021 and beyond, the Symposium discussions focused on the Healthcare outlook beyond 2021, hurdles in the vaccine rollout, lessons learnt, solutions and matters related to distribution of the jabs in SA.
