For every neurological practice open today, they are responsible to serving four hundred people. With medical aid being an expensive exercise, only 17% of the population can access private practices and the rest remain dependent on state hospitals.

This limited access to neurologists leads to underdiagnoses and treatment of patients for neurological disorders such as Parkinson’s Disease, amongst others.
