Michael Millenson, a healthcare consultant, author and an adjunct professor at Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine, joins us to discuss the recent proliferation of apps meant to regulate your health. His recent article in the medical journal Diagnosis is called “Beyond Dr. Google.” It was adapted into an article for the science journalism website undark.org. 

 

Gothamist reporter Jake Offenhartz joins us to discuss his recent reporting on anti-Semitic graffiti on the Upper West Side and in Brooklyn that appeared after the mass-shooting in Pittsburgh on Saturday. He's joined by WNYC reporter Fred Mogul.

 

Jen Miller, author of Running: A Love Story and writer for The New York Times, joins us to discuss the NYC Marathon, which takes place on November 4.
