This week we are talking about Food! And how we eat during the holidays (specifically Thanksgiving). We know that trying to eat healthy during the holiday season can cause a lot of stress for folks. So we are here to help you handle that!
As we discuss in the episode, below is a recipe for Sugar Pie! I don't have my Memere's recipe, but this looks like it is close. Maybe we will try baking this soon....
Ingredients
1 1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup cream
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1 9″ unbaked pie shell
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 425F.
2. Mix brown sugar, flour, cream and vanilla in a bowl. Pour into pie shell.
3. Bake for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 350F and bake an additional 20 to 25 minutes or until filling is
set. Cool before serving.
