Healthy lifestyle may buffer against impacts of stress

Stress is an inevitable part of life; there's divorce, death of loved ones, job loss and caregiving. But a new study suggests that maintaining a healthy diet, exercising and sleeping well through the stressful times may buffer against the negative impacts of stress - on a cellular level. We chatted about this finding with the study's lead author Dr. Eli Puterman of UC San Francisco.
