Matthew 7:24-29

As Christians, our houses, our lives, are built on the words of Christ—his gospel, his teachings, his love—not our own feelings or opinions. And that house will stand when the rains pour down, the floods rise up, and the winds come howling. We will have a house built on bedrock. The bedrock of God’s truth.

Our duty as Christians ought to be not just building our own houses on that bedrock, but to point out the bedrock to others and to help them see the shifting sand they’re placed on.
