Greg and Dan sit down with the inspiring and driven Alida Proehl, a 20-year-old student preparing to pursue a degree in Biomedical Sciences at Southern Illinois University. Alida joins the show to share details about her upcoming 5K Run and Walk, taking place on July 19th at 7:30 PM in Tremont Park. The event is a fundraiser in support of the Ear Community Foundation, an organization dedicated to helping individuals born with Microtia—a rare congenital condition where one or both ears are missing or underdeveloped.

Alida was born with Microtia herself and has made it her mission to raise awareness and give back to a community that has supported her journey. Through this event, she hopes to not only raise funds for those affected by Microtia and hearing loss, but also educate others and inspire inclusivity. Her efforts are a powerful reflection of courage, compassion, and leadership—and she's making her hometown incredibly proud.
