When music cries

it can fill the eyes of

of its listeners with tears

leaving men's hearts touched

and women bearing smudges

of mascara sadly smeared

and if it speaks of love

that they ve all dreamed of

it draws those memories near,

where it stays with them

playing again and again.,

every time their blues appear.

If music makes them laugh

it is a perfect craft

giving back on their behalf,

and it helps dispatch

all of those sadder paths

that they've walked down

through the years

and it makes two dance

it gives each heart a chance

to find some sweet romance

in the arms of a lonely guy or gal

where two lives can be enhanced

when a vocalist wails

all the sad details

of a long, lost love that failed

those words impale each heat

that had to part

from a sweet joining gone stale

and if they croon of home

for all of those who've roamed

too far away from their hometowns

the song will bid them to run

back to their dear, loved ones

where long lost welcomes

will be found.

If music soothes a savage beast

just think what it can do

to ravaged hearts and hungry souls

who are tired of hearing blues.

When music cries

Each note will fly

To all of those

who sit and sigh

what grieves their lives

Will leave them

feeling satisfied

with stories of

Some other souls

who knew the pain

of sad goodbyes
