…8 To acquire wisdom is to love yourself; people who cherish understanding will prosper.

9 A false witness will not go unpunished, and a liar will be destroyed.

…16 Keep the commandments and keep your life; despising them leads to death.

…20 Get all the advice and instruction you can, so you will be wise the rest of your life.

21 You can make many plans, but the Lord’s purpose will prevail.

…23 Fear of the Lord leads to life, bringing security and protection from harm.

Explain – Seeking wisdom will always benefit.  Liars will always be punished.  Faithful obedience to God will bring wisdom, knowledge, understanding and instruction. Seek good advice from good Godly sources.  The respect of the Lord leads to life, security, and protection.

Apply – We need to seek and maintain an active relationship with God.  Seek His wisdom, His knowledge, His understanding, and His instruction.  Then we must act in accordance with His will applying all that we have learned.

Respond – Lord, I seek to maintain an active relationship with You.  Seek Your wisdom, Your knowledge, Your understanding, and Your instruction.  I strive to act in accordance with Your will applying all that I have learned.
