Serious page turner

I loved this book. The chemistry and tension between Sam and Kyle drives the story with enough give and take, push and pull that it keeps the pace going through the book. Even when things take a turn for the really bad and you're sitting on the edge of your seat biting your nails hoping he... hang on. I can't give that part away. Needless to say, this is a serious page turner!

I must say that I got more than I was expecting in this short read. It was packed full of loss, laughter, witty banter, danger, and suspense. Oh yeah, it was also H-O-T! Let me tell you, from the minute their eyes met at a neighborhood party, there was a connection. I felt their intense chemistry through my kindle, it almost burst into flames. Both Max & Samantha were players, determined to enjoy themselves while avoiding relationships. At least that's what Sam used to do, before IT happened. Back when she was still herself. But that Sam has been missing for almost a year. In her place is a lonely hermit who stopped living, stopped feeling, because it's better to be numb, right? Well, it seems that being eye-fu@ked by a sexy stranger can sometimes turn your black-and-white world back into one with color. Who woulda thunk it? Max sees something in Sam, maybe what she's been hiding? Maybe a glimpse of the woman she used to be. Whatever he sees, he really, really likes. He's not used to chasing women, he's usually the one being chased by them. But there's just something about Sam that makes all the others pale in comparison. Too bad she's decided he's a manwhore, and that he can't be trusted with her feelings that have started to thaw out after being frozen for so long. She can't risk another devastating loss. It's better to just concentrate on her remodeling and her career. Throwing all of her energy into work she tries to forget the no longer nameless sexy man, Max. Unfortunately, or luckily, depending on how you look at it, he is not discouraged by her rejection, and he is motivated to win her over.
