Heart Island has seen a lot of history. Once used as a simple grave for unclaimed bodies in the 1800's, it quickly turned into a mass grave for Influenza victims. Now, 100 years later, we are seeing a rise in deaths from yet another pandemic: Covid-19. Here is the history of the island, some of its inhabitants and today's use.
