There is something so freeing when I can admit I am broken and NEED to be restored to sanity. This is when the honest work of recovery can begin.
There is no pain like heartbreak and enduring this loss while maintaining our recovery is a challenge. Like anything else, we have to use our tools, trust our instincts and rely on our higher power to bring us through the storm. There is no one way or right way to navigate this process. It is messy and painful but if we stay with ourselves without numbing or avoiding we have an opportunity to become more whole and complete. While enduring this pain though we may think it will destroy us, it actually has the healing potential to break us open, in a very positive and transformative way. Xx
